ABOUT JACQUELINE KURTA

Jacqueline Kurta is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in work with adolescents, college-age young adults and families, particularly focused on challenges involving alcohol, drug and other addictive behaviors. Ms. Kurta maintains a private practice in Santa Barbara, California, and is also the Clinical Manager of the Alcohol and Drug Program at the University of California-Santa Barbara. 

Ms. Kurta is a collaborative, client-centered therapist, with an orientation towards cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy. Her therapeutic approach is to work together with clients so they can effectively address their personal life challenges. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
